Debiting a new premium without my consent

I received a letter form African independent informing me of an annual increase that happens on the birthday of the policy policy every year. So i sent an email to Mercia van Staden and she explained to me about the new premium (R751) then i told her that it's too much for me, i wont be able to afford it. She then gave me a new quote which is R693 and i told her that it's too much and my car has lost value i will look for another cheaper insurance company as i have never ever claimed from them since i bought my car in 2009. My concern is that Mercia as my broker never bothered to phone me and confirm that they will be debiting the new premium. Currently am having financial problems and the new premium was debited now i have unpaid debit order in my account and she's saying that the money can't be reversed as my policy was not cancelled. She should have atleast called me to warn me that i never cancelled my policy so the debit order will go through, i would have made necessary arrangements for all my debit order to go through.
