Last night I went to the ATM to withdraw money, but my card was swallowed by the machine. I called the call center and they canceled my card for me. Thanks for the help on that. This morning I spoke to 2 people about getting my new card, as I now cannot buy/pay for anything as I have no card. I was told that it will take 3-5 working days and this I understand that is not my problem, my problem is that I, just like any normal hard working person, work from 8-5 and cannot just slip away from work to go and do personal thing, I asked the lady if they can send me my card and was told that it is possible but at my own personal cost. This is the problem! I cannot understand why I have to take the expenses on myself if it was not my fault. Your ATM broke and took my card. If I lost my card or destroyed it yes then I would take the responsibility of the cost. But I refuse to do so in this situation. I would much rather take the cost and responsibility on myself by closing my FNB account and move to a bank that actually takes responsibility for their mistakes. Show me now why I pay and "value added service fee" each month, because at this stage I truly don't understand.
