Cara at Machrie Brokers

We have been clients at Machrie Brokers and Santam for a few years and this is now our second problem with the brokers and Santam for a claim on a vehicles. On 29 November 2012 I had an accident with my vehicle and the claim was reported. The vehicle was towed to Centow towing yard and we arranged for a quote as requested by the brokers, we drove from Pretoria to Trichardt and gave them all the forms including the quote by hand in order to get the claim settled. in January we followed up on the claim as we did not receive any feed back and we were advised that they are still waiting for our quote (which they misplaced) and they have also moved the car to a panel beater. Eventually they arranged for an assessor which also reported that the car is a write-off. We then requested to drain the full tank of petrol and the after market radio which is not specified and we were told that we are not allowed as it is part of the claim (but we can not claim for the petrol). Cara have promised numerous times to call us back to report which she did not do. I know that other insurance companies allow clients to drain their petrol in this case. The claim is still pending after two months!
