I have a personal loan with Standard bank that has been debited every month. They debited my account in December 2012 which was correct, then another debit went off on the 04/January 2013 I then called the call centre and spoke to a Genevieve who informed me that the reason therefore is the date was not loaded as initially requested for the 25th of every month she then corrected it & assured me that my next debit order will go off on the 25/02/2013. which was a cause my husbands funds was paid into my account on the 15/02/2013 & they debited me again. I asked for the money to be reverse now they want to tell me I am in arrears, which I was never informed of or contacted for so another up from their side the agent did not load a debit order to start in September 2012 as also confirmed with Urshula consultant at westgate branch. So now I am being penalised for their mess.firstly the debit order date was not loaded correctly, nor was the commencement date for the debit order date/ month loaded correctly. Standards service is really pathetic & their call centre agents are not very helpful. Especially the rude one we dealt with on Saturday 16/02/2013 Palesa.
