Wesbank Prestige Warranty - what is it good for?

Business & Finance

I have a Prestige Vehicle Warranty. I paid for it in advance when I bought my car. I have had all services done and the car is maintained 100%.
I recently had work done for R3100 and paid it myself forgetting about the warranty.
The mech. advised that major work is coming up and I would like to make use of the warranty.

He advised that I wouldn't be able to use my Prestige warranty, as the workshop that did the major cambelt service are not RMI registered.

I need an URGENT response as to whether this is correct.
Ie. is my warranty now unusable?

I didn't know upfront, so it is a bit disappointing if this is the case- I subsequently went through the booklet from Wesbank and I see it in the smallprint, that a garage must be RMI registered.

So, my question is: (and please answer in writing VERY URGENTLY)
Even if I take it to an RMI workshop now for the job (mechanical failure issue) I can't make use of my warranty due to the previous service (at a reputable Audi specialist) because they're not RMI?

I'd also like to obtain all cancellation forms immediately if this is the case (8mnths into a 24mnth warranty I can't use, I would need a refund too.)
Plz advise on this too today.
