Empty Overdraft Promises

I have an overdraft with FNB, when I applied for the overdraft they said I qualified for R35000. I declined that amount and requested only R2000 for the time being. When I called in today to increase my overdraft limit as I am now in need of extra funds (which I thought I could rely on the FNB overdraft facility for), I am all of a sudden not qualified for an increase. This surprises me as my income has not decreased since I first applied so why have I gone from qualifying for R35000 to not even qualifying for R10 more than R2000? When I spoke to the call centre, all they said was "Uhm Im not sure but it says your income is too low??? " with no explanation.

Please could I have an explanation as to why I suddenly dont qualify for more than R2000!?!
