Consultants wouldn't cancel my debit orders

I went to the Pavilion branch yesterday to have my debit orders cancelled because I don't need some of them and have transfered some to another account. The lady who was assisting me said she won't be able to cancel them because they didn't go through at the end of the month I'll have to deposit money have them deducted and then she will do a reversal and cancel. I mean really how stupid is that I can't be making double payment on the same debit order. Why couldn't she just cancel them? Is this how Capitec work? On top of that they are charging me fees on those debit orders. Your service really is below standard.
