Won't cancel debit orde

Upset with my bank!! I want to cancel my ADT Security debit order and they won't!! Say they can't cancel debit orders without letter from ADT. Since when do other instances have more RIGHT to my bank account than I do!? I have emailed and phoned ADT 3 times and they still wont give me a letter, probably smiling all the way as they know I can't have their debit order blocked if I don't have a letter from them. Common Capitec, what's your problem, because of you and ADT I now have to pay 2 security companies!!
