Wants to settle/pay-off account

Y 13 January 2014, I contacted the customer services so I can pay off the account. I was given a debt collectors number who I contacted and they said the account was withdrawn by Finchoice by 25 November 2013 and that I should contact Finchoice. I did that and Finchoice said no the account is still with the debt collector and that an email will be sent to them so I can be contacted. It's over weeks now and I have not heard from either Finchoice or any debt collector. I need the debt collector or Finchoice to contact me so I cann pay off the debt and this is urgent. I have spoken to various people fron and back with no feedback and my contact number was updated as I have an SMS on my new number confirming this
