Policy taken but was given false information

I took a policy in october 2011 with metropolitan. i was told to take a cover that covers my unborn son and i then i will send the birth certificates when i give birth. so i have been paying the policy all this while under the impression that would be sorted. next thing i call the company and inform them about what had been said to me. the lady that answered agrees and says i should send in the birth certificate and i did that. two years later i check my policy they tell me they dont now what i am talking about because it only coverd me alone. now that i cancel the policy they tell me i wont be refunded but the only certificate they gave me says a different story their rule stipulate that if you cancel your policy in 30 days and did not claim anything on the policy it should be given back to the client.

now that i send them proof of the only thing they sent that explaines i am entitled to a refund they are being rude about it. please help
