Kathlego Cash Loans
Debited again almost a year after settlement

Business & Finance

I took out a loan with Kathlego Cash Loans in November of 2012, with an agreement to pay back 4 monthly installments to settle this loan in March of 2013.

To my knowledge, the account had been settled.

As of this month, January 2014, Kathlego Cash Loans has begun again to debit my account, almost a year after the settlement date.

After emailing them, I was informed that there were failed debit orders on my account, and they are now making those up.

My question to them, is how is it ethical for them not to contact me to inform me of any failed debits, not an email, not a phone call and almost a year after the final debit date, simply start debiting my account again?
