My wife and I bought a home almost a year ago. We applied for our homeloan and stuck with FNB as we have been clients for over a 2 decades, and received a very high interest rate. However we still took it. I was told in 6 months i can renegotiate the rate. Our debits have gone off every month since we bought it as should, so we are honorable paying customers. Two weeks ago I had an ITC done for my wife and I, and we both are Low Risk, high scorers based on our credit history.

Two days ago I applied for the interest rate to be renegotiated as my bond agent suggested that we would qualify for a much better rate now and if we like we can lend more. 24 hours go past and this is the response we received "FNB HOMELOANS: we are unable to better your interest rate due to pricing strategy and current market conditions for further queries contact 0860334455". If anything, this is a completely generic response which provides no reasoning nor negotiation. I do not feel this is acceptable, and not the way I expected FNB to treat loyal clients. I will be reconsidering my accounts and my bond provider due to this.
