Refusal to hour claim for an insured asset

I submitted a claim for an asset covered under my policy with Absa Insurance. It was rejected and after enquiring I was informed that I could obtain my own report from a supplier and resubmit for consideration. I did so and submitted it. After not receiving a response after 4 days, I contact Claudia who was assigned to my claim. She wrote back to me to inform me that my claim had again been rejected, this time sighting a different reason and backing it up with an extract from the policy. I wrote back and informed her that the clause sighted as reason for rejection was distorted and could impossibly be a sound reason for rejection. She did not respond and I contacted them by telephone and asked to speak to the manager responsible. After repeated calls, I was eventually phoned by Chesney Stevens who identified himself as the manager. He informed me that Claudia had made a mistake as that clause did not refer to the pool for which I was claiming. Instead he claimed that the banks's evaluator had reported that the pool "needed maintenance" and therefore this was a pre-existing defect and that was why they were not settling. I am still awaiting their written response even after promises
