I've been issued a brand new FNB credit card. The printed letter with the card states 'Your classic card comes with ... (a lot of benefits included, but most importantly) "EARN 10 eBucks for every R100 spent". I register for ebucks on my FNB online account and it actually shows on my online profile (success!.). But somehow it doesn't link up when I try to check my profile via ebucks itself. After several phone calls and mails, the ebucks division informed me that my particular card does not qualify for ebucks. I understand that there are rules & regulations, but why omit to inform the new credit card owner that the message on the printed letter, issued with the card, and the ebucks logo on the back of the card (really?) actually means nothing and I still do not qualify? If there is a reason for this, tell the client, don't advertise an incentive if you can't deliver. After several phone calls I was informed to actually take it up with my branch manager. Isn't this the card division's admin problem?
