I'm really saddened by the treatment mete out to me by MiWay's Customer care and Retention Departments. I called to get my premium reviewed and after back and forth discussions, I was finally offered a reasonable premium of (R1080) which I accepted.
To my surprise this revised premium came at an expense of an increased excess, a very important change in my policy that none of MiWay agents that I spoke to bothered to mention. In my mind I thought I still had the same excess until I decided to check my policy schedule - "Voil? what do you know? my excess was now more than double of what it was".
Anyway, fast forward to the present day, I now have a claim and sadly so - yes you've guessed it, I'm now expected to pay a very ridiculous excess amount.

I've relayed this to a long list of their personnel but I still cannot find any joy.

I feel they have been dishonest and deceptive by making me believe that I was getting a reduced premium but conveniently forgetting to mention at what cost.
