First National Bank
E-wallet charges

Business & Finance

I recently tried to access funds that were sent to me via e-wallet. The first amount of R90 I was only able to get R50 as FNB only allows withdrawals in multiples of R50. The balance of the money I bought airtime as I did not want to lose it. The second amount of R300 I got R250 with a balance of R48 because FNB seems to be charging R2.50 for the use of e-wallet. I am not a customer with FNB so these balance I cannot transfer to my account so I bought airtime again and now have a balance of about R20. These hidden charges should be communicated to people and the fact that at the ATM you cannot get an amount less than R50. With ABSA cash send and Standard Bank Instant money, there are no charges with cardless banking
