Debit to my account with no notification

My account was debited with R650.00 for an outstanding credit card account. No body contacted me / emailed / sent me any notification of the banks intention to debit / recover the money. As the sole bread winner this amount is a "big" amount and has created all kinds of havoc in terms of living expenses and other commitments. I understand the bank needs to recover their money, but, surely in terms of the banking code of practice and consumer rights someone should have made arrangements with me in terms of affordability!
I've only recently started working and I recently opened the chq a/c with fnb so all my details are correct with FNB (contact details / email). I sent an email to a call centre on the 30 May I received a reply that send they would contact me within 48 hrs... I have still not heard from anyone?? Please can someone sort this out!
