Remind me again... why are we paying service fees?

Just phoned Standard Bank's call centre to confirm the branch code for Adderley Street Cape Town. Spoke to Lionel who told me there is no branch code listed for Adderley Street. I explained to him that this was where my account was held. He wanted to know why I needed the branch code, which I feel is not any of the call centre operator's business. He also told me he's never been to Cape Town, so he wouldn't know. I am completely disgusted with the lack of service provided by Standard Bank's call centre & feel that the operator had way too much attitude! I asked him to ask someone else in the office to which he responded "Everyone is busy". Is this what we pay service fees for?
