Unbelievable bureaucracy!

Could someone at ABSA please explain their unbelievable working practices to me... I am so frustrated and feel like dealing with ABSA is like hitting your head against a brick wall... really hard!

I went into your Centurion Branch this am to close my late Moms bank account and transfer the money to my account. I had a signed a stamped Letter of Authority specifically authorising me to do this by the master of the high court, which specified the account number and the amount. After being pushed from pillar to post I eventually asked for the Branch Manager who was not avail..I saw the deputy branch manager, who said they could not do this. They had to open another account in my name, which I shall undoubtably pay fees on, and then make my moms account a "late"'account. All this goes through to the Estates department because ABSA needs to get the authority from the Master of the High Court... a document which I have in my hand already. The other bank that I dealt with sorted this out for me and is paying the money to me on Monday. The lady I dealt with was not sure how long it could take... maybe about four weeks!
Please explain why this has to be so painful with ABSA..
