Over the Christmas period I had R52, 000 worth of on my Standard Bank credit card. A month later, I still have not been able to get the amount reversed and get to use my credit card. If you phone the Standard Bank number, you get transferred from person to person. Last week the kind lady - trained at the Cape Town School of Charm! - told me that my issue had been resolved and the funds had been repaid to me, and had I not bothered to check my balance recently. This was a complete to close the call off and was a very poor comment as I was in Internet Banking at the time and I was looking at a very horrible balance. The staff at their call centre are incredibly rude, and what's more they will to you to get you off the phone. Shame on you Standard Bank. The solution? I will get the case closed and I will close my credit card account. Standard Bank feel free to phone me and check the phone records to understand how rude your staff are. They are liars!
