We popped in our Sunningdale branch of ABSA to change our address on our accounts. After queuing for 15 minutes at the Customer Services (only one attendant), we were finally attended to. Having all the documentation with us, our ID's were demanded, no please. When my partner was showing his irritation and tried to say something, he was told 'Let me finish what I have to say! '

We reported this attitude to the Branch Administrator who showed an equal lack of interest and offered no apology. As it is, ABSA is generally inflexible and charge more in banking charges than the other banks we deal with.

Maybe it is time to change banks?
