I've been with Boland, BOE and now NB. Ages. Hold cheque, business, credit card acc's and on occasions Investment acc's. 20 months ago I applied for a loan on our B' acc to upgrade our business and improve on the 45K turnover pm we were getting. NO, can't help. Ok, what about a personal loan? Yes, you qualify for 120K. I took the loan at 12.5% interest fixed. Recently I moved my elderly Mom to a retirement village and put her bond free home on the market Agent's valuation of 1.8mill. She suggested a jazz up with a coat of paint and a few extras would improve our sale chances. Off to NB to ask for a top-up on the personal loan that I had paid off amounting to 33K. Sure, but now your interest will be 25.5% on the total 120K, Not 25.5% on the 33K top up. Intention was, on the sale of the house to consolidate my 120k and negotiate an investment of - 1.3Mill with NB for Mom's financial benefit. I got the 35K I needed at 24.5% from a very friendly Finance house. On sale of the house, I will clean up all my responsibilities with NB, and with a lot of effort, move my entire portfolio to a Bank that want's to help clients and not be so greedy.
I never once let you down ever. Disgusted.
