When I first got a quote to move my insurance to outsurance, I was treated like an asset to their business. They went out of their way to give me a good premium (or so I thought). I moved all my insurance to them and since then have added 2 ipads. I also need to add another vehicle, so called them to ask them if they could review my premiums - which they advertise that they will. My thinking was that since I started with them I have added a lot and hence the premium would be reviewed. The retentions department called and asked my details and then said - "your premium will stay the same". I then said that I also want to add an Iphone 5 and a Samsung galaxy note 3. He gave me a quote for the Iphone (R221 pm!! - I currently pay R120 at MTN). When I asked if he could relook the quote he said no that's what I will pay - excellent retention strategy.
I also want to add another vehicle which I am purchasing this week, but now I am thinking I should just look at other companies.
The point is - don't fall for the "hard sell" when you join and then the lack of "retention".
