FFW refuse to pay

Business & Finance

I recently damaged my laptop at home and when i claimed from ffw, they refused to pay because it was not specified as a portable item.

i was asked the question: do you want to cover anything that you carry with you out of the house, and i answered accordingly. I did not specify my laptop because i use it at hhome only, and dont take it anywhere with me.

FFW refuse to pay saying it is a portable item and should have been mentioned.

my question is, do i need to start specifying my dining room chairs as well? as well as all other potentially portable items that i own? or FFW will never pay.

their website claims: An easy way to determine this is to imagine taking the roof off your home and turning it upside down, everything that falls out of your home constitutes your home contents... my laptop is in my house and will fall out, i expect it to be covered.

when i was asked to specify a value for the items in my house, the value i specified included my laptop, i expected it covered.
