During November 2013 I requested Liezel Mackay of Discovery Insure to cancel my insurance with Discovery. On the 2nd December 2013 a debit order was deducted in the sum of R1 606.02. I contacted Liezel who said that she would sort it out, ensure that the debit order is now cancelled and then ensure that my cheque account was refunded with this amount by 6 December 2013. On the 2nd January 2014 a further debit order went off also in the amount of R1 606.02. I have sent emails to Liezel to try to sort this out for a second time but have had no response. I called Discovery Insure on the 3rd January and was advised by the consultant that she would speak to her supervisor and get back to me that day so as to let me know what happened. No call was forthcoming. I then called again on the 6th January and spoke to a Mthetho who said he would look into it and organise the refund as soon as possible. On the 8th January there was still no payment so I called again and I was advised that payment was being processed. It is now the 12th January and no refund has been received and I am being blacklisted by my bank. What should I do? Discovery Insure does not seem to care.
