I received a letter in August from old mutual saying my six year savings policy would mature on the 1st November and payout funds would be available from the 10th.and I should fill out the attached form and take it to the nearest branch.i did so and went to the pinetown Durban branch and submitted the forms.that was on the 29th October 2013..the lady attending to me informed me that my forms will go off on the 1st November.
I was expecting payment after the 10th as related in the letter sent to me... but nothing happened the whole of November.i called the customer care no:0860607000 the first week of December and the call centre agent advised me that my forms in fact weren't sent through at all!! he made a note to the supervisor of the pinetown branch to sort out the issue ASAP.
It is now January and I still haven't been paid.i phoned the call centre again today and was told by the agent that my forms were never sent through!! he put me on hold and tried contacting the pinetown branch supervisor but failed after he kept me holding for ten minutes..he advised to rather send through a complaint to complaints dept but haven't got a response.
