First National Bank
Not agreed on Debit orde

Business & Finance

I am quite shocked how a bank like FNB can just make a one sided decision to submit a debit order 2 weeks before the time. The funds that were in my accounts was to last me till the end of the month when I get my salary. I just received a SMS on the 14th of December 2013 that indicated a FNB debit order will be deducted earlier than has been arranged due to the public holidays. And by the way the money was taken before the SMS was sent. Now a week later I get another SMS to say that my account is in overdraft and that I must make a deposit to avoid items being dishonoured. HOW CAN ANY BANK (FNB) JUST BY-PASS A WRITTEN AGREEMENT THAT MONEY SHOULD ONLY BE TAKEN AT A SPECIFIC TIME OF THE MONTH. So what next will they do? This is very scary. FNB will be liable for any charges arising from this matter, seeing that they made this one sided decision. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. They can submit the debit order on the agreed date.
