As per the initial agreement with Woolworths insurance my bank account was supposed to be debited on the 1st day of the month as that is the day i usually get funds in my account. But for whatever reason they used to debit before the agreed date, around the 28th to 31st, resulting in returned debits by my bank as there is usually no funds in my account at that time. Then due to the returned debit order Woolworths insurance would try to get into my bank account during the month to debit the outstanding fee, they would attempt to debit twice, including the "returned debit order fee". On the 7th or 15th of the month i do not have funds in my bank account anymore so both the debits would bounce, meaning i have to pay the bank R115x2 for returned debits. total of R345 per month including the debit they attempted to make beginning of the month.

So i wrote to them regarding this, requesting to be refunded for these bank charges as they were in breech of the contract. In 2 days after sending through my bank statement, showing these charges i received my refund and an assurance that my account will only be debited on the requested date.
