Vehicle inspections

A vehicle insured on my policy was to be transferred to a family members who was also insured with Outsurance. The new owner took the vehicle for inspection, only to be told that the anti-hijack device was not sufficient for Outsurance purposes. This came as a surprise to me, as I had fitted the device specifically for Outsurance purposes when initially buying the vehicle.

Lebo followed up on the initial inspection certificate, which showed that the device was indeed acceptable. I was able to continue uninterrupted cover on this basis, and Lebo undertook to follow up with the subsequent inspector to establish why he considered the device unacceptable, and tried to sell us an additional device.
