INCOMPETENT BANK/INACCURATE CONTACT DETAILS ETC

Overnight 13-12-2013, a R49.00 stop order is debited from my cheque acc. "Ref C51961310001DD0612 (164623) Query? 0860123107" which I did not authorise. Tried calling the No but no answer after 8mins (I record all call-centre dialled calls). STD bank's website states 24hr reporting No is 0860123007. It is not reporting, so I am transferred to "general banking helpline". 10mins 49secs later someone answers, call ref 56369059 a lady tells me they are aware of this erroneous debit, that their technicians are aware of the problem and funds will be returned to me. I have just reported the debit, AND THEY'RE ALREADY AWARE OF IT??? She gives me STD's 24hr reporting No 0800222050, which I dial and am placed on automated hold, but which hangs up on me after 3mins 57secs!!! THIS IS A CLUELESS BUNCH OF INCOMPETENTS WHO DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY! If this is what we customers on the outside experience, I have to wonder what activities go on inside std bank?!? Time to start looking for another bank.
