Hi
I am looking to buy a Renault Clio 4 Dynamique from Renault Cape Town Corner Christiaan Barnard and Louis Gradner Street Culemborg.
I applied for finance in September with the required documents SA ID, 3 months bank statement, 3 months pay slip, proof of payment and Namibian (SADC) license which according to the law I can use in SA with no problem and I have been doing so for the past 7 years.
My finance was approved with my Namibian license and R60 000.00 deposit which I have already paid. The car was ordered and after 4 long months of waiting the car has finally arrived. The F&I Business Manager had to re-submit my documents to the bank for validation by which I obliged. Yesterday morning the bank responded to him telling him that they now require a SA drivers license which was not a requirement when they initially approved my finance. This was just suppose to be a validation and not me re-applying to get finance that was already approved months ago.
Even the company I have insurance with did not require a SA license specifically.
I expect the bank to honour their original agreement and accept my finance approval as it was in September
Kind Regards,
Trevor Kaiyamo
