Claims Declined

I made a claim for my late mom's life policy in Germiston branch. After some days I was told there is some information they need from one of my late mom's Doctor's and her employer. I indeed forwarded the request to the relevant people. After a week I heard from my late mom's employer that the claim was declined yet I didn't get any communication from Sanlam. When I called them I was told it was because my late mom didn't disclose her illness and I dispute that. My late mom was diagnosed around 1981/82 and the policy was taken around 2004, there is no she could have hidden that or else the agent didn't ask the right questions. Does not Sanlam review their policies, if yes, why only seeing when they have to pay out???...and why was I not notified???...am taking this up with my lawyers...
