Policy premium increase

I received an email from A&G today (04/12/2013) stating a policy increase of R139.59, from R934.42 to R1074.01 as of the first of January 2014. I have been a loyal customer for about three years, have never missed a single payment and had only one claim in 07/2012 for a cracked windscreen. Both a car and household contents are insured with A&G.

I also went to hippo (online insurance quote intermediate) about two months ago and again after being notified of my policy premium increase. With the exact same driver's and car and address details, hippo gave me a quote for R557.91 per month from A&G. My current car insurance premium is R628.37 and will be increased to R668.02 per month. The regular driver is older than 25, no accident history and was issued her driver's license 01/2006. The car is parked in an access controlled area day and night.

Why is my monthly premium being increased for being a good customer???
