Unfairly treated

I have been in an accident on the 15/12/2012 and reported the matter to my insurance which is King Price Insurance and they have only contacted me in the new year and now they are exclaiming i they cannot be liable for the damages because i didn't take my car for inspection at the Glasfit and i remember very well that whenever i was insuring the it wasn't with me it was with the dealer, which took me approximately a month to get it and if that was the problem that if i didn't take my car for inspection its a problem, why were they debiting my account for each and every month, i am feeling that they were cheating on me in a way since they should have stopped debiting my account until i have taken the car for inspection, so for now they have declined my claim only for that which i think i have been treated unfairly. Thank you!
