I went to a branch in Durban and ended up being persuaded to switch to this bank in regards to my salary. I kept my end of the bargain-I submitted what was required and completed all forms I was supposed to. That was October already and came November, my debit orders did not go off on the account but instead went off on my old account which caused me a lot of hassle since I now had the task of drawing money from the Capitec account onto my other account in order for the debit orders to go through, because otherwise they would've failed and I would've gone through more drama of having to go and pay each of the suppliers directly. I contacted the call centre and only to be informed that I was supposed to change to debit orders myself. My answer to them was I will never do that and I would rather switch back to my original bank if that was the case as which bank in this day and age makes you do that yourself as I was promised at the branch to begin with that this was an easy process and that I didn't have to do a thing. Someone has got to be held responsible for this.
