I approached Investec for a transactional account as I received positive feedback from a colleague. I completed the entire application process with no feedback whatsoever - I had to send an email from abroad to ascertain what that status was. I was told over the phone that my application was rejected as I did not have a degree. I employ a number of people with degrees earning substantially less than I therefore they can get the facility and not me?? Subsequent to this incident I received a huge lump sum to invest, which I would have potentially entrusted to Investec. In the light of the aforementioned I engaged Allan Gray and I was so pleasantly surprised with their service! To the Leadership at Investec, please do not bother to respond but know you are offending influential people and you can keep your pretentious circle to yourself.
