Last week I had a 12 minute phone conversation with the GAME / GALAXY RCI representatives with a promise that I will receive a call back later that day.

My first and main complaint is that on 26 September 2013 I asked GAME for a settlement amount and paid - R10550.00 to settle. During October 2013 RCI then charged me Interest and Insurance and now they want me to pay the new balance that is over a R100.00 I have still not heard anything back from RCI except a woman asking me why I am not making payments who then lost the call and did not phone back.

Why would anyone pay over R10 000 (Full outstanding amount) if not in settlement?

In 2012 when I closed my Galaxy account it became apparent at a later stage that I overpaid with R50 and require a refund. That is in progress, but of course the consumer do not get the 18 to 21% interest they require if the position was reversed
