I logged a call on Monday for transactions on my account amounting to /- R4000. I am well aware that I need to give STD Bank 7 to 10 working days for an outcome on this investigation, but I called in to follow up and get a little more understanding of the process.
I am still unsure if I need to call Kalahari or PayU (Ecommerce company that did the transaction), or whether STD Bank would do this on my behalf. When asking whether this is being handled in the process, Derek (STD Bank Agent) keeps telling me I have to wait 7 to 10 working days, and according to him was the process. So I repeat my question and try to explain the difference between a process and turn-around time, the agent gets rude with me (I rarely lose my temper, but to have the feeling of being walked over doesn't go down well).
I've lost my patience with Standard Bank's inability to handle my account. After over 13 years if great service from Standard Bank, the last 2 months have been disgusting to say the least!

PS. I'm still awaiting feedback from Standard Bank's miserable excuse of a rewards program (Ucount).
FNB is very attractive right now - at least they respond to my inquiries
