Standard Bank
All the money from our notice deposit os gone!

My fiance had around R30k in savings in a notice deposit. When she wanted to withdraw the money at the end of 2012 for our vacation she was told the account was empty and the money had been deposited a while back into two separate other accounts which obviously weren't ours. We had no notification that the accounts were withdrawn and as it was a notice deposit you require the client to go and sign at the branch to make the transaction. We were told at the branch we needed to go to the police and fill in an affidavit which we did. We submitted the docs to the branch and never got a response, when we queried the progress they said they couldn't find the documents. We've been back to the branches numerous times since with no real feedback on the progress, we also logged a call with their department and also have not gotten a response. It's been almost a year now since we first attempted to report this and we still have R30k missing from our bank accounts. As an institution and product that should be offering security for your savings, we are quickly losing confidence with Standard Bank, at the very least we'd like to know that 'something' is happening with the case.
