Change of Policy over Night???

Recently I applied for a Petrol Card at my local Absa Branch (Kuils River Main Road).

On approval for my card, I informed the clerk that I have lost my Green ID document, she informed me that I will be able to present a certified copy instead.

Now, over night, this is a breach of their policy? Please explain to me what am I to do now? Go through this whole issue again after two months?

If this matter is not resolved, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
