I was happily insured with Discovery Insure until I had to claim.

Firstly I've submitted my claim and they advised me that I need to declare the accident at the police. I advised her that the accident was in Paarl (I'm in Cape Town), so I can't go to the police station. I went to a local police station to try and sort it out, but they advised me that the accident happened somewhere else, so they can't handle it.

I called Discovery again, talked to a different operator, and then I was advised that I can simply draw the accident and fax it through with a description. Why wasn't I advised of this before.

Trying to book my car in Tsholofelo just can't seem to get my cell phone number updated. After two emails and a call, she still have problems calling the correct number with phone always being "engaged" and thus my claim not being attended to.

She also keeps on giving the suppliers the wrong phone numbers so they can't get hold of me either.

It's been literally a month since I submitted the claim at first. Now I would like to collect my car, but again, the claims department answer the phone, but just let it sit next to them and don't speak into it.
