I reported a garage door that have been ripped off during a storm we had. I asked them to action this as an emergency seeing that my tenants goods were now exposed and the risk of now being high.
Absa claims department (0860147147) told me they will get back to me within 24-48 hours. It has now been more than a week with no action on my claim 2469677. The previous claim i had with absa was not paid out due to the cost being too low. I removed a broken tree hanging into my neighbours yard for 2500 rand and tried claiming it back from them to no avail. I spent 140000 rand in the last three years on that house in maintenance and damage repairs. Absa insurance paid out a measely 10000 rand. What is the use of a homeowners insurance? I want to move both my bond as well as my insurance from absa. Worst service in the entire planet.
