My ATM card got stuck at the Shoprite Checkers, Florida Centre last night at 17.10 I called in to have it stopped & at 17.11 received a sms notification of a withdrawal of R70.00 and balance of R1.39. At 17.21 I received the same sms again. This morning I called the call centre to enquire if I can go to any branch to request a new card (after just receiving one on Saturday at the Florida Branch) and relayed the whole story to the consultant and only to be told that all my money has been withdrawn an amount of approximately R2500.00 to get me through the month. I was then transferred to the division and was told that the investigation takes 10 working days and I will receive a call thereafter but if I want to escalate it I can call in to do so! This withdrawal smacks of it been an internal case. I feel the consultant did not show any compassion and was not sympathetic and Standard Bank how am I too get through the month with no money??? Standard Bank you need to ask a long standing valuable client "how can we assist you get through the month" I think I need to follow Steve to FNB
