I am posting this in the hope of getting this issue resolved amicably.
I am claiming 3rd party damage from MIWAY Insurance as a driver who is insured with MIWAY knocked my driver's side mirror while my vehicle was in a stationary position. The driver profusely apologized for his action and assured me that his Insurance (MIWAY) will sort out the damage. The accident happened on Saturday 28/09/2013. The driver lodged the claim on the 01/10/2013 and received a claim no which he forward to me via SMS. MIWAY's legal adviser Karunai Govender sent me an e-mail dated 09/10/2013 advising me of the documentation required and process to follow. I have followed all processes outlined by MIWAY. I followed up on 11/10/2013 with Karunai Govender who replied that once their client's claim is authorized they shall proceed with my claim. I then followed up again with an e-mail to Karunai Govender copying the Legal Department asking them to advise on the status of Claim C489452 on the following dates; 17/10; 22/10; 23/10; 28/10 and 29/10. To date, I have not received a reply from the Legal Department or the Legal adviser Karunai Govender.
Can MIWAY kindly advise on the way forward...
