ABSA needs better international support

My absa card keeps being charged finance fee's of a couple hundred rand at a time. I have tried to contact people in charge regarding this 'fee', but my emails go unanswered. What exactly is a finance fee? Is it the interest owed on the outstanding balance of the card?

I cannot wait to close my ABSA accounts, this bank has been nothing but a pain for the last 8 months.
