I had an FNB Gold cheque account in 2009. In 2010 I went into the Florida Branch and closed the account, and the consultant still destroyed the card. In 2012 I tried to reopen an FNB account and now I am told that my cheque account was never closed and on accrued interest I owe over R8000 and that I am on debt counselling, which I am not and which FNB does not have any record of to substantiate what they are saying. I have numerous reference number from numerous complaints logged and to date everyone is still calling me back. I was referred to the Florida Branch Manager and they say they cannot assist but will refer me to the correct person and to date I have no feedback. This amount goes up daily because nobody is the correct person to speak to. I am trying to resolve it now for over a year, to much dismay!!!
