Discovery Insure
DISCOVERY INSURE DONT WANT TO PAY THE RIGHT AMOUNT

Hi,

I had a break in at my house. Quite of my valuables were ie; TV, Home Theatre system, Laptop, ipad, Camera, watches...

The value of the goods is about R100, 000 . However, Discovery insure calculated the replacement value and reduceed the claim to R50, 500 Now they dont want to pay me the R50k either, under the pretext i was under insured. They are saying they will pay only R20k.

My argument is i was insured for all the household items to the value of R300k. I was paying the premium for R300k. My claim is for R100k. I was never under insured. Every month i have been paying the premium for R300k, i have the rights to be paid for the which took place in my house to the value of R100k.

I have voiced my concern and my frustration to Discovery Insure. However, they doesnt seem to be bothered.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!
