POINTSMEN WATCHING TRAFFIC NOT DIRECTING IT

I travel on Heidelberg road every day and the traffic is insane cause the robots are out on the corner of Heidelberg and Houer Road. I have no idea why the outsurance pointsmen are there because they just stand on the corner chatting and laughing instead of directing the traffic. What is their purpose if they are just going to stand there. When i got to the robot i asked the one guy why hes not directing traffic and he rudley replies that he just got there just like me. Thats funny because i sat for nearly 15 minutes watching him chit chat etc. The bikes were parked looong age. I even took a photo of the little tea party. If they not going to direct the traffic then maybe outsurance should save themselves some money and just stop the whole pointsman thing. Its bad enough sitting in traffic but nothing is more frustrating than watching the pointsmen having a fat rap when they could be helping the situation.
