Absa AIP not received proof of insurance

Good day,
I received an sms from Absa informing me that they haven't received proof of my insurance on my vehicle and that they will deduct R766.26 from my account.
I purchased this vehicle in 2009 through finance arranged through Absa, which meant they would have proof of insurance. My insurance has not changed and I still have full and comprehensive insurance on this vehicle as the policy requires.
How can Absa just decide to arbitrarily deduct money from my account before consulting me or requesting proof of insurance?
I have tried a number of times to phone the call centre, but get no answer.
Can anyone assist?
