Cash Passport - An inconvinient service

Good day,
This is a complaint not directly aimed at any of Absa's employees, but aimed at the product "Cash Passport" that is offered. It promises that it is reloadable and convenient. Which I do not agree with.
I have travelled once with the cash passport and have cashed out in February. But recently, after reloading the card, I found the account was closed and could not be used at all. The call centre had no good advice of how to help me and I had to do another exchange at Western Union minutes before my flight, which was very expensive. The Absa branch at the Airport was utterly useless as well, since they have no Forex branch.
What worries me is that I was not notified that the cash passport account is closed while reloading my cash passport account and that Absa and Master Card could do nothing to help me at all. Why is there no process for this? And why should I pay for these mistakes?
